Hive Weight Monitor Guide
Interpret hive scale readings to understand nectar flow, colony health, swarm risk, and starvation warnings. Track weight changes with seasonal context.
How to Use
- Enter the current hive weight from your scale reading (in pounds).
- Enter the previous reading for comparison (daily, weekly, or any interval).
- Select the current season and hive type for accurate benchmarks.
- Click Analyze Weight to see interpretation, benchmarks, and alerts.
Hive scales are one of the most valuable beekeeping tools. Weigh at the same time daily (evening is best) for consistent readings. Sudden drops may indicate robbing, swarming, or colony loss. Sudden gains during flow signal the need for more super space.
All calculations are performed locally in your browser. No hive weight data is sent to any server. Your beekeeping records stay private.
