RC Gear Ratio Calculator
Calculate gear ratio, rollout, and estimated top speed for RC cars from pinion, spur, transmission, and tire size.
How to Use
- Enter pinion and spur gear tooth counts (printed on gears or manual).
- Enter the internal transmission ratio (check your kit manual).
- Enter tire diameter in mm (measure across the inflated tire).
- Enter motor RPM (KV × battery voltage, or dyno measured).
- Click Calculate for ratio, rollout, and estimated top speed.
- Higher pinion / lower spur = more top speed, less acceleration. Reverse for more torque.
