How to Use

1. Select the metal/alloy or choose "Custom" to enter a specific thermal expansion coefficient.
2. Enter the initial length of the workpiece in meters or inches.
3. Enter the temperature change (ΔT). Use positive values for heating, negative for cooling.
4. Click Calculate to see the expansion or contraction in both metric and imperial units.
5. This uses the linear expansion formula ΔL = L₀ × α × ΔT.
