Set negative ease (typically -1" to -2") so the hat stretches to fit snugly.
Enter your blocked swatch gauge (stitches and rows per 4 inches).

Note: The crown decrease schedule is a guideline. Adjust decrease rates depending on your stitch pattern and how pointy or flat you want the top. Blocking can change the final size by up to 10%.
